Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience as an underwriting associate in general insurance
- Exposure to commercial lines products would be a distinct advantage
- Ability to anticipate client (internal and external) needs and act proactively
- Solid MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Proven ability to work on multiple issues concurrently, delivering in accordance with customer expectations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities
- You will be working closely with underwriters across multiple profit centres, as well as other internal teams and outsourced service providers, supporting the quotation, bind and issuance processes across the full policy lifecycle
- You will be the key contact onshore and become our SME to support the policy lifecycle
- You will interact with our external customers chasing up and/or querying closings
- You will liaise with internal collections teams to follow up on unallocated cash queries
- You will ensure adherence to internal governance and compliance procedures, policies and guidelines.
- You will also participate in operational audits, disaster recovery and business continuity exercises, when required.
