Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Sell-Side Data Acquisition Team in Pune to acquire and normalize market data and reference data into a common schema feeding the core of our trading systems.

The Sell-Side Pre-Trade and Execution (SSPTE) group builds and supports Bloomberg’s global, multi-asset Sell-Side execution management systems (EMSes), including TOMS, ETOMS, and Broadway, relied upon daily by thousands of fixed income traders and salespeople at the world’s leading financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with a team of talented individuals, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance
- Lead complex projects involving Product and Engineering stakeholders in Pune / London / New York offices
- Own the full software development life-cycle, from understanding the needs of the business through to coding to deployment and maintenance
- Lead by example and mentor team members in navigating complex technical problems
- Interact and build relationships with our Client Services and Professional Services teams
Requirements & Eligibility
- 5+ years of experience in one or more general purpose object-oriented programming language (e.g. C++, Java, Python), but preferably C++
- Robust knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with concurrent programming
- Strong sense of ownership and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams and partners to drive projects and initiatives
- At least one of the following: a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, and/or an equivalent combination of education, and/or specialized training, and/or related professional experience
