Overview

The Customer Service Engineer will provide technical support, sales support, and training for Cadence MSC Virtual Manufacturing & Costing (VMC) product lines, including Simufact and FTI, while contributing to product documentation and training materials.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Completed university degree in mechanical engineering or materials engineering with a focus on production engineering, forming technology, welding technology, or additive manufacturing
• Alternatively, a degree with a focus on Computer Aided Engineering, Finite Element Method, and/or other numerical and mathematical methods
• Master’s degree is highly desirable
• Up to 5 years of experience in the CAE technical field
• Strong understanding of physical and material science fundamentals of metal manufacturing processes (forming, welding, or additive manufacturing)
• Business fluent written and spoken English skills
• Availability to travel as required

Key Responsibilities

• Application and support of manufacturing simulation in an international environment
• Helpdesk support for customers and international sales partners via web portal, e-mail, and telephone
• Creation of application examples, tutorials, training material, and other documentation
• Preparation and conduction of customer-specific training courses
• Independent and autonomous conduction of service projects
• Document product issues and interact with Product Development, sales, and support departments
• Drive product evolution and quality via feedback
• Analyze fields of application and investigate improvements in modeling, numeric, and implementation
