Overview
Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Manager to join the shipping team. This is a senior leadership role, reporting to the Director, Facilities Engineering & Projects, based in Chevron’s ENGINE facility office in Bengaluru.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Extensive and broad experience across shipping, marine operations, and/or maritime training
- Target of more than 10 years in Chief Engineer / Master Engineer role
- Proven leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder, multi-time-zone organizations
- Track record in building capability and scaling operations
- Strong understanding of training governance, compliance, and accreditation frameworks
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the ENGINE shipping organization, including direct and indirect resources, with single-point accountability for delivery and full employee administrative requirements
- Establish clear governance, decision-making frameworks, and performance expectations
- Serve as the primary interface with Chevron shipping company
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding strategies and plans
- Drive consistent delivery performance, role clarity, and accountability across teams
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and reliability
