Backend Engineer
Overview
The Backend Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration, while contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Requirements & Eligibility
- 4+ years of Java development experience
- In-depth experience with Spring Framework
- Experience with Microservice-oriented architecture and API management concepts
- Previous experience with application servers (JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, or WebSphere)
- Experience with REST and SOAP
- Knowledge of TeamCity/Jenkins, Maven, GIT, and Atlassian tools ecosystem
- SQL basic knowledge
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by following good practices and habits
- Develop, test and document Java-based software components in accordance with requirements
- Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle
- Identify and resolve any technical issue arising
- Write unit tests for robustness, edge cases and general reliability
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
- Create design documentation
- Plan and support releases
