Overview

The Senior Robotics Software Engineer will support the development and delivery of autonomous consumer robotics products, acting as a key technical interface between Dyson and external ODM/JDM development partners to ensure high-quality product launches.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in robotics, autonomous systems, embedded systems, or software engineering
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Experience with Linux development, software debugging, system integration, and software architecture
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills
• Strong English reading and writing skills
• Basic spoken English for technical discussions and project reviews

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with ODM/JDM partners throughout product development, validation, and launch phases
• Review software designs, technical proposals, and implementation plans from development partners
• Drive technical discussions, requirement clarification, risk assessments, and issue resolution
• Investigate and resolve complex system-level issues involving software, hardware, sensors, algorithms, and system integration
• Perform structured root-cause analysis using data, testing, debugging, and validation techniques
• Define, implement, and optimize autonomous robot behaviours
• Review and validate solutions related to navigation, localization, obstacle avoidance, sensing, planning, and control
