Field Application Engineer
Overview
As the dedicated Field Application Engineer for Formlabs, you will be the primary technical point of contact and face of our company across the DACH region and beyond, managing installations, user training, and repairs.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Based in Frankfurt/Berlin/Munich (highly preferred due to hub connectivity)
- Energized by travel and willing to be on the road 80%+ of the time
- Strong technical background (electromechanical/hardware)
- Fluency in German and English (both C1)
- Valid driver’s license is required
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to unpack, install, commission, and calibrate new 3D printing systems
- Conduct structured on-site training sessions for new and existing customers
- Perform live product demos to inspire confidence in the technology
- Act as a deployable resource for customers facing downtime, performing urgent repairs
- Manage a schedule of annual maintenance visits
- Employ critical thinking to diagnose electromechanical issues
- Independently manage a complex travel schedule and submit expenses on time
- Maintain meticulous records of installations, training sessions completed, and repairs in Salesforce
