Role Overview
Global Field Marketing Manager to own the global event calendar, build activation around big moments, create Gitbook's own events, experiment with community activation, and own online events to generate B2B SaaS pipeline.

We're building the best platform for authoring, publishing, and maintaining world-class docs. Close to 40,000 sign-ups per month, over 100k Monthly Active Users, used by 2M+ people and thousands of teams like Zoom, FedEx, Nvidia, Snyk, and Google.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the global event calendar and run industry tradeshows and conferences end to end
- Design side-events that surround a conference such as curated dinners, executive roundtables, and happy hours
- Create GitBook's own events including roadshows, customer summits, and docs-focused meetups
- Experiment with community activation and DevRel colleagues on hackathons and docs sprints
- Own online events such as webinars, virtual roundtables, and livestreams
- Build the tiering model for events and report on pipeline rather than attendance
Requirements & Eligibility
- 7–10 years in B2B SaaS marketing with a meaningful stretch in field marketing, event marketing, or integrated demand generation
- Experience running international programs, including and especially in the USA
- ROI mindset focused on opportunities and cost per opportunity
- Real operational range to negotiate contracts, write invite emails, and build CRM dashboards
- Sales credibility and comfort working with AEs and technical developer audiences
- Ownership mindset with ability to build a function from scratch
