Marsh Re in London is looking for a resourceful, proactive candidate to join our Facultative Broking team, focusing on energy facultative reinsurance with particular emphasis on upstream and renewable energy risks.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Proven experience in the energy insurance/reinsurance market, with direct involvement in upstream and/or renewable energy risks
• A background as an energy-focused broker or clear, demonstrable experience working within an energy broking team
• Demonstrated ability to support or deliver facultative placements
• Strong relationship-building skills with clients, colleagues, and market participants
• Excellent attention to detail and document discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Preferably ACII qualified or working toward ACII

Key Responsibilities

• Broker energy facultative placements end-to-end, supporting clients with placement strategy, market engagement, and execution.
• Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand risk, coverage needs, and placement objectives, translating these into effective market submissions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with London Market reinsurers, negotiating pricing, terms, conditions, and coverage.
• Produce and manage placement documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage the placement lifecycle through to binding and post-bind activity.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across the business to deliver coordinated client solutions.
