Key Responsibilities
- Data collection: keeping scrapers and platform integrations running across flaky sources, rate limits, and APIs
- Pipelines and storage: owning event-driven pipelines end to end from orchestration to databases and warehouses
- Monitoring and reliability: building monitoring, alerting, and data checks to keep services and integrations healthy
- Backend services: working on production services and APIs, including JavaScript backends
- Infrastructure and security: owning CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud for data systems, access, and secrets
Requirements & Eligibility
- 3 to 10 years of hands-on engineering experience in small or fast-growing companies
- Advanced Python experience, including async code and long-running data jobs
- Experience with basic JavaScript or TypeScript backends
- Experience keeping unreliable external sources running in production (scrapers, platform APIs, unofficial endpoints)
- Experience designing and running event-driven, fault-tolerant pipelines handling millions of records a day
- Comfortable with Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure
