Senior Qa Engineer
Overview
We're looking for a talented Senior QA Engineer to join Procore's Product & Technology organization to drive the design, development, and evolution of automated testing solutions.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong focus on test automation.
- Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Python.
- Hands-on experience designing and building automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
- Experience automating REST APIs using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, Playwright API, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into modern deployment workflows.
- Strong SQL skills and experience validating data across distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop reliable, maintainable, and reusable automated test suites that support continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve release quality.
- Define automation strategies and establish best practices for test architecture, code quality, and framework design.
- Review product requirements, technical designs, and implementation plans to identify quality risks and improve testability.
- Perform API, integration, regression, end-to-end, and exploratory testing when needed to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Investigate test failures, analyze defects, identify root causes, and partner with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Improve test execution speed, stability, and reliability by optimizing automation frameworks and reducing flaky tests.
