Requirements & Eligibility
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 10+ years of software system testing experience.
- Deep knowledge of the storage stack — high availability, caching, flash, RAID, dedup/compression, filesystems, block storage, I/O paths, latency/throughput trade-offs, consistency, and replication.
- Knowledge of storage protocols (Fibre Channel, FCoE, iSCSI, NVMe, SCSI, NFS, SMB) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack).
- Proven experience with interoperability testing, firmware updates, backwards compatibility, and upgrade paths.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring releases of the highest quality
- Plan, test and qualify shipping releases
- Work with Support and Escalation teams to help reproduce and root cause customer issues
- Identify, analyze, and document any defects discovered during testing
- Triage and debug automated test failures across a multi-machine hardware/software stack
- Perform ad-hoc, automated and manual testing
- Design and build tools and automation to simplify testing and integration workflows
