Requirements & Eligibility

• Demonstrated developing general HSE experience.
• Developing specialism in specific areas such as occupational hygiene, fire safety, process safety, construction, or environmental topics, together with the relevant qualifications.
• IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent introductory qualification or Working towards basic qualification, such as NEBoSH Certificate or NEBoSH Certificate or equivalent or internal courses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide systems support to users across group business services (GBS), ensuring key systems are always available and working, and maintaining and improving systems and guides.
• Deputise for others as directed and support sector and functional initiatives.
• Promote the importance of HSE and assist in raising the standards through local management and supporting cultural change.
• Engage with local stakeholders or resources to propose and establish a governance structure that is fit for purpose.
• Identify local compliance requirements and undertake a gap analysis on these and the sector wide requirements locally.
• Utilise local knowledge to support development of credible local emergency planning scenarios and responses.
