Overview

The Electronic Technician will perform aftermarket electronic and mechanical repair of components and instruments through testing and troubleshooting to determine the cause of product failure at the Teledyne Controls repair facility.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Degree/HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
• Basic mechanical and electronics experience with an emphasis on electronic skills
• Knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience testing electronic assemblies using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
• Experience using hand tools and machine shop tools such as soldering irons and hand drills
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and follow schematic drawings

Key Responsibilities

• Perform aftermarket electronic and mechanical repair of assorted components and instruments
• Test and troubleshoot products, equipment, and circuitry including functional, operational, and environmental testing
• Analyse and interpret test data for component level and system level repair
• Enter data and provide written reports on test and troubleshoot findings
• Read and follow relevant schematic drawings
• Work a rotating shift pattern (2 weeks dayshift/2 weeks backshift)
