Manufacturing Laboratory Technician
Overview
Work in a team-oriented manufacturing laboratory setting using mammalian cell culture practices and techniques to manufacture high quality medicines for dogs, cats, and livestock in support of GMP.

Requirements & Eligibility
- High school degree or equivalent required
- BS in Biological sciences preferred
- Preference given to applicants with relevant experience in biological production and/or aseptic manufacturing
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Mammalian cell culture practices and techniques are desirable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills and working knowledge of metric system
- Fundamental understanding of cell growth and general lab practices is desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Perform processes and operate equipment required for production of bulk viral antigen
- Understand and apply aseptic technique with good cell culture practices as it relates to viral and antibody production within a roller bottle lab
- Operate equipment involved in downstream processing of production bulk fluids (e.g., tangential flow filtration, hollow-fiber filtration, sterile filtration, etc.)
- Using knowledge of bioreactors/fermentors and support equipment, apply skills to identify mechanical problems and maintain equipment
- Understand, follow, and complete process documentation in support of GMP
- Understand and follow safety policies as it relates to biological and chemical components and equipment to protect personnel and maintain product quality
