Overview
The Senior Payroll Specialist will process multi-state payrolls in the United States and the associated activities such as processing 401k files, coordinating payroll tax filings and system setup for multi-state taxes, conducting benefit internal audits, and creating payroll journal entries.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics or relevant education and experience
- At least 5 years of experience in payroll
- Preferred experience processing payroll for multi-state employees
- Preferred experience with Workday and CloudPay
- Currently possesses a certification required/ CPP Licensed preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Execute payroll processing tasks for A-LIGN’s United States operations.
- Assist with international payrolls (Bulgaria, Ireland, India, Panama, and UK).
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure completeness and accuracy across US payrolls.
- Partner effectively with both internal departments and external partners to ensure the timeliness of payments and compliance with local regulations.
- Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and other reporting tasks to support the goals of the accounting department.
- Prepare documentation and reconciliations to support annual financial statement audits, benefit audits, and other regulatory reviews.
- Adapt to changing business priorities in a fast-paced environment, identifying and solving problems to support the broader needs of the business.
