Requirements & Eligibility
- Senior licensed deck officer or marine engineer officer (Master, Chief Engineer, Chief officer, First engineer)
- Minimum five years of sailing experience
- At least one year of experience as a senior officer
- Demonstrated Safety Performance and knowledge of Marine Assurance and Corporate wide OE processes
- Familiarity with industry organizations, practices, rules, and regulatory conventions such as MARPOL and SOLAS
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively with diverse global teams
Key Responsibilities
- Pro-actively collect, evaluate and provide vessel, port and terminal information
- Work with internal customers to understand their business needs
- Recommend improvements to guidelines, requirements and procedures to enhance the clearance process
- Participate in industry work groups and develop and maintain industry relationships
- Apply in-depth marine operational knowledge and marine risk management principles
- Communicate effectively with management, peers and customers across disciplines and geographies
- Utilize and apply operational excellence (OE) processes to work activities
