As a Staff Software Engineer within the Credit Risk Profile Squad, you'll play a hands-on technical leadership role designing, building and operating secure, scalable and resilient services that support credit risk decisioning across the Bank.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Have strong experience building and operating software at scale.
- Bring expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices.
- Have experience with distributed systems, streaming or event-driven architectures.
- Thrive in a "you build it, you run it" environment.
- Have modernised legacy platforms into cloud-native services.
- Enjoy mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
- Are curious about AI-enabled engineering and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and operate cloud-native services, APIs and data products
- Deliver scalable solutions that support credit risk decisioning.
- Contribute to modern service-domain and event-driven architectures
- Lead technical design, code reviews and complex problem solving.
- Champion engineering excellence across testing, observability and operational readiness
- Support modernisation initiatives and migration of legacy platforms
- Mentor engineers and help strengthen engineering capability across the squad
