Requirements & Eligibility
- BA/BS Degree or completed professional training as forwarding agent.
- 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics or freight forwarding
- Have a technology (and AI)first mindset and can thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Effective time management. Be able to properly prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively seek and receive feedback.
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Teamwork and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the 'front line' in ensuring the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move on-time, exceptions are handled proactively, and clients receive a first-class experience through timely, clear communication.
- Be responsible for ensuring your work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery, independently managing your priorities and commitments.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and proactively flag opportunities for improvement.
- Solve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination, developing solutions independently and escalating to senior team members as needed
- Act in the best interest of the company by avoiding leakages and ensuring cost conscious behavior.
- Seamlessly coordinate day-to-day operations with the relevant internal and external partners for your team's scope (e.g. carriers, vendors, customs, regional trade lane management, cross-functional stakeholders, etc)
- Execute the end-to-end movement of freight shipments within a regional network (both imports and exports), including intermodal movements.
- Assist the shipments managed by partners as we drive partner autonomy and parity with insourced operations (if applicable in a given region).
