Overview
As the lead non medical prescriber, you will play a pivotal role in continuing to establish and grow our ADHD treatment service. Your primary responsibility will be to lead on the continuous improvement and ongoing delivery of an ADHD treatment service, bringing together current legislation and best practice to provide a comprehensive assessment and treatment offer.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Professional registration (Nursing/NMC) in good standing
- V300 Non Medical prescribing qualification
- Specialist knowledge of ADHD assessment and treatment across the lifespan, including stimulant and non stimulant medication, initiation and titration, physical health monitoring and shared care arrangements for both children and adults
- Extensive knowledge of neurodivergence and lifespan mental health, including commonly co-occuring presentations and how they shape prescribing decisions
- Experience of holding end-to-end accountability for a clinical pathway — from referral through initiation and titration to ongoing review, shared care or discharge
- Experience of leading and supervising a team of prescribers, with the confidence to supervise, develop and quality-assure the work of a group of 5–10 clinicians, and a relevant supervisory qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience of acting as the senior point of escalation for complex, high-risk or diagnostically uncertain cases, and comfort making the final clinical call
- Solid understanding of the legislation and regulation governing prescribing services, including controlled drugs and remote prescribing, and a working knowledge of the expectations of the CQC, NMC, GPhC and other relevant regulatory bodies
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the continuous improvement and ongoing delivery of an ADHD treatment service
- Supervise, develop and quality-assure the work of a group of 5–10 clinicians
- Act as the senior point of escalation for complex, high-risk or diagnostically uncertain cases
- Undertake medication appointments for children and adults, prescribing in accordance with NICE guidelines
