The Business Insider Fellowship Program is for early career journalists who want to spend six months learning from a newsroom full of passionate, dedicated journalists. The fellow will support the editorial operations team on projects ranging from managing our freelance roster to developing automated processes for rights management and awards submissions.

Business Insider is hiring an Editorial Operations Fellow to support our newsroom in its mission to produce influential, widely read journalism.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Is organized and meticulous, a problem solver, and a fast learner
- Is experienced and comfortable with AI tools
- Has experience handling contracts and invoices
- Is familiar with Google Workspace (especially Google Sheets) and some mix of Zip, Zapier, Docusign, Adobe Acrobat Sign, or AI vibe-coding tools such as Codex
- A passion for digital storytelling and voracious reading habits
- Familiarity with digital and social media
- The ability to work quickly and collaboratively with a fast-paced team
- Proofreading and copyediting skills
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the editorial operations team to handle freelancer contracts, approve invoices, and engage with our freelance network
- Assist with award submissions and arranging newsroom trainings
- Help develop newsroom tools, processes, and automations
