Senior Accountant
Overview
The Senior Accountant within the Australia New Zealand Controllership Group supports statutory reporting, risk & compliance, and the coordination of Audit and Tax in partnership with local, regional, and global finance teams.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with demonstrated experience applying IFRS, US GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements in a multinational environment
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple, concurrent tasks
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Experience leveraging AI and digital tools to improve productivity, automate routine tasks and enhance financial reporting processes
- High level skills in Excel (using Macro’s and data analysis techniques)
- Experience with Oracle and other enterprise reporting systems is highly desirable
- Excellent project management skills with strong analytical and financial skills
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation of Financial Statements including statutory adjustments for the Australian consolidated group and overseas subsidiaries in New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules and analytical reviews to support statutory reporting and audit requirements
- Interpretation of AABS, IFRS and GAAP and monitoring changes impacting the business
- Partner with business stakeholders, finance teams, tax advisers and auditors to resolve technical accounting, reporting and compliance matters
- Assisting in the preparation of process documentation to senior management and other stakeholders
- Assisting in the interpretation of customer contract wording for accounting and tax requirements
- Assisting in review of Sarbanes Oxley annual risk assessments and compliance
- Reviewing financial data for compliance and risk assessments
