Overview
As a Staff Engineer for the Linux Kernel team, you will work on the AHV hypervisor stack, focusing on performance, scale, and reliability. You will be responsible for designing and implementing low-level system solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to open-source projects while ensuring enterprise-grade software quality.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience building enterprise-grade software
- Rock-solid OS/systems fundamentals
- Low-level coding and debugging experience with at least one hardware architecture (preferably x86)
- Ability to write and maintain enterprise-quality code
- Proven feature delivery experience
Key Responsibilities
- Improve product performance and reliability by rethinking system architecture
- Devise and research out-of-the-box solutions for hypervisor challenges
- Participate in design discussions and collaborate with a geographically diverse team
- Proactively mentor junior team members
- Assist with occasional customer escalations
- Contribute product improvements back to open-source communities
