The Senior Member of Technical Staff for the Linux & Kernel team will work on the AHV hypervisor, building on the x86-KVM stack. Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade software
- Rock-solid OS/systems fundamentals
- Low-level coding and debugging experience with at least one hardware architecture (preferably x86)
- Ability to write and maintain enterprise-quality code
- Proven feature delivery experience
Key Responsibilities
- Improve the product by learning from customer questions and exploring new technologies
- Devise and research solutions with data-backed efficacy
- Communicate ideas effectively to a geographically diverse audience
- Participate in design discussions and learn new domains
- Mentor junior team members
- Assist with occasional customer escalations
- Contribute product improvements back to open-source communities
