Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) to provide technical leadership across multiple areas of the Prism platform.
About Nutanix
The Prism team develops Nutanix's management and control plane, providing a unified platform for managing clusters, infrastructure, virtual machines, storage, and networking across hybrid cloud environments.
Requirements & Eligibility
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience building distributed systems, infrastructure software, or large-scale backend platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading the technical design and delivery of complex, cross-team engineering initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in Go (preferred) or in another systems language
- Experience building production systems on Linux with strong understanding of networking, containers and Kubernetes, storage systems, and virtualization concepts.
- Experience designing and evolving REST and/or gRPC APIs
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of major platform initiatives spanning multiple services or engineering teams.
- Drive technical decisions through design reviews, architecture discussions, and technical RFCs.
- Design and build highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems that power the Prism management plane.
- Lead the evolution of Prism APIs, management workflows, lifecycle management, and platform infrastructure.
- Mentor engineers across the organization and help develop future technical leaders.
