Staff Engineer
Overview
As a Staff Engineer for the Linux & Kernel team, you will work on the Nutanix AHV hypervisor, focusing on performance, scale, and reliability. You will design and implement low-level system solutions, contribute to open-source projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive improvements in virtualization technology.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade software
- Rock-solid OS/systems fundamentals
- Low-level coding and debugging experience with at least one hardware architecture (preferably x86)
- Ability to write and maintain enterprise-quality code
- Proven feature delivery experience
- Deep reasoning and top-down thinking skills
Key Responsibilities
- Improve product performance and reliability based on customer needs
- Devise and research innovative solutions for complex system problems
- Convey ideas effectively to a geographically diverse audience
- Participate in design discussions and learn new technologies
- Proactively mentor junior team members
- Assist with occasional customer escalations when required
