Overview
The Implementation Engineer III is a senior technical delivery leader who partners with government customers to bring OpenGov cloud software to life, owning the most complex product configurations and the underlying data migrations across a portfolio of implementations.

Requirements & Eligibility
- 6 to 9 years of experience in software implementation, data migration, or technical consulting, ideally with enterprise or SaaS products
- 5+ years of hands-on SQL scripting experience, including complex queries, data transformation, and reconciliation
- 3+ years of Python, or similar, scripting experience for automation and data processing
- Deep experience with database technologies and with ETL and data-migration concepts and tools, including schema design and performance considerations
- Experience implementing AI-driven solutions for automation, workflow optimization, and data-driven insights, leveraging modern frameworks and AI models
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex implementations end to end and to mentor or provide technical guidance to less-experienced engineers
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with a strong teamwork and customer-service mentality across executive and technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, with the proven ability to validate, reconcile, and sign off on data and configuration for accuracy
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the data migration, configuration, and testing of OpenGov cloud software for the most complex government implementations across the United States
- Perform configuration reviews across the team, validating that platform setup aligns with documented requirements, product best practices, and long-term maintainability before go-live
- Perform data reviews, validating migrated data for completeness, accuracy, and integrity, and reconciling source-to-target data so the product reflects trusted, audit-ready customer data
- Own complex customer data migration end to end, including database schema mapping, ETL tool configuration, and advanced scripting, to ensure the product is populated with accurate, validated data
- Confirm and pressure-test customer requirements across both configuration and data, resolving ambiguity and advising customers on the optimal solution design
- Design and execute comprehensive test scenarios that validate the configuration and migrated data produce accurate, expected outcomes prior to go-live
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for government / customer stakeholder like Budget Directors, IT personnel, and decision-makers, guiding them through the deployment and integration process
- Identify recurring customer pain points and partner with cross-functional teams to simplify, enhance, and automate processes that improve customer workflows and delivery efficiency
