Ounce Community Navigators are critical members of the team, serving as the face of Ounce within the community by working directly with residents, housing & community partners, and the broader team to deliver better care & services within affordable housing.

Ounce is a first-of-its-kind community-based service model. Enabled by technology, we provide services to residents of affordable housing properties, improving engagement and outcomes at scale.
Requirements & Eligibility
- You are fluent in English and Spanish and confident communicating with residents in both languages
- You have experience navigating government benefits (e.g., SNAP, TANF, LIHEAP, Medicaid) and coordinating care to local organizations
- You are excited by boots on the ground opportunities, including community organizing, and enjoy customer-service roles
- You understand the unique opportunities and challenges affordable housing residents face
- You are dependable, organized, and able to commit to a set schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively engage residents within affordable housing communities, building trust in Ounce's mission
- Help residents by scheduling doctor's appointments, helping them apply for benefits, and acting as their health & wellness advocate
- Build trust & respect with residents, convene & listen to residents, and identify their needs proactively
- Actively provide services to residents related to health, benefits, and financial needs, including follow-up and ongoing support as needed
- Accurately document all outreach, services provided, referrals, and resident interactions
