Pulse is seeking an experienced and motivated Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team in South London, supporting ward-based medicines management services and ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines in a specialist mental health setting.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and maintain up-to-date mandatory CPD requirements.
- Hold an Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) qualification.
- Possess the HEE Medicines Optimisation qualification or equivalent.
- Have proven post-qualification hospital pharmacy experience.
- Demonstrate substantial ward-based pharmacy experience.
- Possess strong knowledge of medicines management principles and safe clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ward-based pharmacy technician support across designated clinical areas.
- Undertake medicines reconciliation and support medicines optimisation activities.
- Assist in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Perform Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) duties where appropriate.
- Support patients through medication counselling and medicine-related advice.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.
- Maintain accurate pharmaceutical records and documentation.
- Contribute to clinical audits, service developments, and quality improvement initiatives.
