Overview

The Event Director is responsible for the strategy, delivery & production of Soho House Primary Events in the UK, Europe and Asia – including but not limited to Soho House Festival, Soho Summit, Soho Food Festival, plus pop ups at music festivals, art fairs and more.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 10+ years’ experience in large scale event production, particularly festival production and producing on a green site
• Solid understanding of budget creation, cost control and expense reporting
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills is a must, with the ability to produce event decks & reports essential
• Experienced in managing multiple projects and people simultaneously
• Fast learner with strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, who is deadline driven
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements, permitting and license laws to produce events is essential
• Experience of successfully managing a cross functional project team is essential

Key Responsibilities

• Set the event strategy and oversee the production & delivery of multiple events happening concurrently across UK, EU & Asia
• Oversee the budgets of all events we produce & the decisions that get made to ensure costs are managed efficiently
• Lead and manage a cross functional project team, comprising of a mixture of in House & freelance producers
• Produce events & experiences as and when required, as well as recruit and onboard agencies
• Deliver progress year on year on the D&I pledge in relation to partnerships and event suppliers
• Manage effective post-event evaluation including member feedback, successes and under performance
• Deliver sponsorship / ticketing revenues through strategic / promotional / tactical partnerships to offset event costs
