Software Engineer (Platform Team)
Overview
The Platform team is responsible for the backend infrastructure including public TTS APIs, payments, subscriptions, authentication, and analytics. The role focuses on building scalable, reliable systems and automating processes to improve system efficiency.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven backend experience in TS/Node
- Direct experience with GCP
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or another cloud
- A habit of delegating work and creating room for new projects
- Experience with AI agents in a daily working setup
- Strong instinct for verifying results against system logs and database state
- Judgment regarding architectural decisions and ability to justify them
- Preference for being corrected over being right
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own the APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, consumption tracking, and public TTS API
- Take on existing services and improve their speed, cost-efficiency, and reliability
- Establish correctness before shipping and implement checks for ongoing maintenance
- Automate manual roles and processes
- Turn individual work into repeatable team processes
- Design B2B and enterprise integrations
- Collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams to align backend architecture with product goals
Interview Process
Several technical interviews plus a take-home assessment on a real codebase. The assessment involves two stages: submission, feedback from an engineer, and time to act on that feedback.
