Software Engineer (Platform Team)
Overview
The Platform team is responsible for the backend infrastructure including public TTS APIs, payments, subscriptions, authentication, and analytics. The role focuses on building scalable, reliable systems and automating processes to improve backend architecture.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven backend experience in TS/Node
- Direct experience with GCP
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or another cloud
- Experience with AI agents in daily workflows
- Ability to verify system results through logs and database state
- Judgment regarding architectural decisions and build vs. buy
- Preferred: Docker and containerized deployments
- Preferred: Deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, and consumption tracking
- Maintain and optimize existing services for speed and reliability
- Implement automated checks to ensure system correctness
- Automate repetitive tasks to focus on higher-level engineering
- Create reusable workflows for the team
- Design B2B and enterprise integrations
- Collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams on backend architecture
Interview Process
Several technical interviews plus a take-home assessment on a real codebase, aiming to finish within a week. The assessment involves two stages: submission, feedback from an engineer, and time to act on that feedback.
