Key Responsibilities
- Research packaging materials, technologies, and industry trends and present opportunities to partners
- Develop packaging design & innovation strategies across multiple brands and businesses
- Commercialize innovative packaging solutions in partnership with category packaging engineers
- Create CAD models and prototypes and test them with end users
- Analyze data on cost, sustainability, damage, and guest experience
- Independently manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
- Build and maintain strong connections with the packaging industry and supplier partners
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations to business leaders and external partners
Requirements & Eligibility
- Four-year degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Seven to ten years of experience; experience with mass consumer goods preferred
- Deep expertise in materials, processes and design of paperboard and corrugate retail packaging
- Knowledge of materials and processes for plastic part production
- Deep expertise with Artios CAD and SOLIDWORKS, CSWA (Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate) preferred
- Experience identifying and implementing new packaging technologies, materials, or processes
- Curiosity and passion for innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills
