Principal Engineer
Overview
Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Engineer to join the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) team within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB). In this role, you will help design, build, and deliver innovative technology solutions that support critical banking and capital markets platforms used by clients around the world.

Requirements & Eligibility
- 7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise grade Manage File Transfer leading industry products such as Axway Secure Transport, IBM Connect Direct, Sterling B2B integrator or equivalent solutions
- 3+ years of experience with secure file transfer protocols including SFTP, As2, NDM etc
- 5+ years of experience with encryption technologies including PGP/GPG, SSL/TLS, digital certificates, key management, and data protection best practices
- 3+ years of experience with cloud storage and object storage technologies such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob, Google cloud storage
- 5+ years of experience with designing resilient, highly available, and secure enterprise file transfer architecture
- 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP
- 5+ years of experience with deploying and managing applications using K8/OpenShift, docker containers and modern cloud native architectures
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
